This next guest blog is from Ruth at TimeNorfolk.

“I am absolutely thrilled that TimeNorfolk is the chosen charity for The Norfolk Bump & Beyond Baby and Toddler Fair 2019! TimeNorfolk aims to spread hope following pregnancy loss. We do this by offering time to listen, time to grieve and time to heal.

We provide free confidential support to anyone:

  • who has experienced miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, termination or stillbirth,
  • with an unplanned pregnancy,
  • needing support for other pregnancy related issues such as pre or post-natal depression.

Spreading hope

Pregnancy loss is something which sadly affects many people. Nine babies are stillborn every day in the UK and one in four pregnancies end in loss during pregnancy or birth. These statistics are from Tommys. It is also really important to recognise that it is fathers, as well as mothers, who grieve the loss of a baby. Therefore, we do encourage men to come and receive support too.

We have become increasingly busy over the past few years with our client numbers steadily increasing, which is a bitter sweet reality. The reasons that people come to TimeNorfolk are often heart-breakingly sad. However, we are always pleased when they do find us. Our hope is that every bereaved parent in Norfolk has an awareness of TimeNorfolk, so that nobody has to grieve or struggle on their own following a loss.

The opportunity to come and be at The Norfolk Bump & Beyond Baby and Toddler Fair is a real privilege and I hope that we are able to share our message that there can be hope after pregnancy loss.

If you have been affected by pregnancy loss and feel you need support, please do visit our website and get in touch. You can also find us on social media by searching ‘TimeNorfolk‘!

I’m looking forward to seeing you at The Norfolk Bump & Beyond Baby and Toddler Fair 2019. The Fair returns to The Norfolk Showground on Sunday 24th March 2019!
